Interest Groups

The Board of Governors of The Institute of Medicine of Chicago invites the Fellows of the Institute to join an Interest Group of their choice to address issues related to Human Health.

This is your opportunity to call to attention important common health related issues, problems, solutions and associated research activities.

The mission of the IOMC is to serve the citizens of Chicago as an unbiased forum for improvement in our health care system.  The newly formed interest groups will be comprised of members who select the interest group of their choice.  These groups may develop new health policy recommendations, propose projects that support the goals of the IOMC, identify opportunities for funded research, and disseminate related information to the membership and the public as appropriate.

Fourteen Interest Groups have been formed.  They are:

Health Policy & health care systems

                Global Health, infectious disease, immunization

Neuroscience, behavior, brain function & disorders

                Healthy populations, community health
